Bicicletta singlespeed

This racing bike, converted to a single speed, is from the early 70s and was originally a celerifere. Let me explain: FM came to us with an old rust colored two wheeler (or maybe it was just rust) Once we disassembled her we recognized that she was unsuitable for the conversion we wanted.

Bicicletta scattofisso pista

This vintage racing bike by Bottechia, believe it or not, arrived to us smelling awful…yes smelling.   I didn’t believe that a bike could smell.  Maybe it was the soggy seat, or maybe it was the cobwebs (can cobwebs smell?).

Bici single speed

The singlespeed Fuchecco is in someways the daughter of “La Blè“.  When the latter went to live with Checco, he gave us, as a gift to Biascagne Cicli, a Pinarello Victory.  From the start she arrived with layers of mud and rust. ” Let me know if you guys come up with something good”, he said… Well this is the result and I hope it lived up to his expectations.  The irony is that now the Fuchecco is the bike rode by his partner PPP.

Bicicletta singlespeed contropedale

With its clean esthetic, the GF Profuso seems like it should be a fixed gear but it has, in fact, been converted into a single speed with the addition of a Velosteel coaster brake.

Born as a steel framed bicycle from the 70s this “Pearl of Veneto” is a easy rider with an odd and funny set of handlebars.  Oh so comfy! According to her equally odd and funny owner.

Vintage Bike “MC

Bici Vintage, sella Books Flyer

ENGLISH! The MC Jag Bike is a singlespeed created by converting a racing cycle from the late 70s to a bike of “all comforts”.
Special attention was given in aid of comfortability.  It is light, clean, and very cozy in the riding position.

We started with a Columbus steel frame ride to keep it light.

The tires (700×28) are a perfect compromise between lightness and stability creating a seeming weightless ride while driving on paved city streets.
The Brooks Flyer  leather seat has a line sporty enough but the wide springs and copper detailing bring it right back to vintage and comfort.

The cruiser handlebars are high and almost enveloping, for a relaxed ride and steady position.

The gear hub as well as the rear brake drum attached to the gear was chosen to keep the chain line as clean as possible,
It was a shame that we couldn’t hide the two wires that come out from the handlebars but it was impossible to do without …

Singlespeed bike conversion “PMS Lisboa”

Bici Singlespeed Corsa

This vintage single speed bike will race along the Tejo.

The initial project was meant to be a fixed gear bike, but to get around Tejo, Lisbon with its steep descents (and ascents), we needed two brakes capable of handling the demanding terrain.  Before we mounted the brakes, we convinced ourselves that this bike was meant to be a singlespeed.  It well maybe that in some future time she will become a fixie but for now she needs some kilometers of free wheeling.  Really just want a good excuse to return to Lisbon to change the COG.

Manubri in legno artigianali Biascagne Cicli

Et voilà, our wooden handlebars for bicycles.

Carefully handcrafted by dear old Franco, these wooden handbars are made up of 12-15 layers of different cuts of wood, glued together, and then hand-worked until they become a handlebar as smooth as silk. Believe me, they are a pleasure to touch.

At the moment, the shapes that we make are: “seagull” and “nearly-flat-but-not-exactly-so”
